AML & CFT: Enabling the Enemy.
This course places legal and accountancy professionals at a fee-earner's desk to build practical skills in recognising money laundering and terrorist financing risk. Learners choose their practice area (property and conveyancing, private client, or corporate and trust) and work through realistic client files presented by video and audio. Along the way they apply a risk-based approach at onboarding, check identity documents and spot when a low-risk matter starts to drift. Through interactive decision points, red flag typologies and a knowledge assessment, learners see how terrorist financing differs from laundering and learn their obligations under UK law, including internal reporting to the MLRO, tipping off and legal professional privilege. This course is suitable for CPD (Continuing Professional Development) purposes for legal and accountancy professionals.
